The good news is that it means I have been BUSY. Which is AWESOME and crazy at the same time! I have been trying to keep caught up all while coming up with new and exciting things. As of late I have been pouring my heart and soul into Halloween costumes and working on things for my wonderfully amazing and talented friend Kristin with Kirra's boutique she makes the most adorable tutu sets! We have pooled our talents and come up with some really cute things for Halloween

I've also been trying to come up with a winter line so far I have Pea coats, for boys and girls, bubble hem holiday dresses, and ruffle pant sets (not that these are new just making them for winter with heavier fabrics). The pea coats are BEYOND adorable!!! I want to make one for me!

For the mommy

I found an awesome tutorial on making couture style ruffled onesies over at ...love Maegan and I fell in love! I had all the intentions of making Gianna one of these onesies, I went to the fabric store and found this perfect thin jersey knit with polka dots, got a pack of plain white onesies, and then. . . . I found the cutest tanks at Target and thought hmmmm. . . I could make the Mama something! It was a HIT! I first started off making the 'flowers/ruffles' all the way across the front of the tank, which while cute on the hanger, was not so flattering on. Then I though 'Hey! what if I just take some of them off and make it like a corsage' BRILLIANT!!! I can't believe how cute it turned out and how many compliments I have gotten on my simple (not so quick) embelishment.

I also have been busy making super CUTE things for customers and friends. I have completed another Ruffle Fluff romper which turned out KILLAH! Or as Carly said 'STUPID CUTE!' I do tend to amaze myself at times.

A recent project I have worked on was for a GREAT cause, The Blanket Fairy over on Facebook is an AMAZING woman who helps families and kids FIGHTING childhood cancer. The birth club that I am apart of adopted a family as a part of her Christmas in July project she put together. The family we adopted has twin girls which only one is fighting cancer, we wanted make sure they got something that they could play together so we are planning to buy them a kitchen and all the accessories that go with it! I made them matching REVERSIBLE aprons. I hope they love them.
Last but not least by any means is the little something I whipped up for Ms. Peeper. Nothing says summer like watermelon and RUFFLE!

oh BOY!

Do you have a little monster that you love? I do, Marcelo is my little man. He is amazing, smart, opinionated, and funny (like his mommy) and I always feel bad that I can never find very many projects to make for him. Although recently I found 3 amazingly cute and relatively easy projects just for my BOY!

bath time puppet monster

terry cloth bath/swimming hooded robe

shorts!
All 3 projects turned out great and they were all really easy . . . which is always a great plus! I can't wait to try the shorts on him tomorrow!

New items on Etsy

By popular demand I have started listing my Ruffle Fluff bloomers on my Etsy I will be making ready to ship items too for those who don't want to wait to get your hot little hands on these adorable ruffles! For now though I will be taking custom orders for them in sizes ranging from 0-3 up to 2T (I hope to be able to make them in NB and bigger sizes soon). I also want to make some cute little ones for the boys. . . without ruffles of course but still just as cute and once I master the hat pattern I would love to make diaper cover and hat sets! OMG how cute would that be??

I recently (before vacation) made the cutest twirl skirt EVER! I seriously cant believe how cute it turned out and I want to make one for myself!

Back , , , like a heart attack!

Vacations have a funny way of making you wish they would never end and wish you were at home in your nice cozy bed all at the same time! The hubs and I went on a trip to Minnesota to visit the family and go to my best friend's wedding. . . with out the kids! As much as we felt we earned and needed the break I couldn't help but feel immensely guilty about leaving my babies at home and relaxing, sleeping in, and doing what I want to do without being on the little people schedule. I had no idea that I would miss sewing so much! SERIOUSLY! I can't believe how addicted I am and how many times I thought to myself 'man I wish I had my sewing machine here' . . . does that make me pitiful? hahaha if so I'm ok with that.
I can't wait to start on some new projects and get some new items listed on Etsy . . . yes I know I have been slacking HORRIBLY. I am still looking for someone to design a website for me (that doesn't charge an arm and a leg) but until then I will stick with my Etsy and Facebook.
